I am Nastaran Saffaryzadi. I am a research fellow at Auckland Bioengineering Inistitute focused on enhancing human-machine interactions using brain and physiological signals. My work involves emotion recognition using biomarkers, where I develop models to analyze heart activity, brain signals, and facial expressions for real-time emotion detection. I also explore emotion regulation strategies, human behavior pattern in response to emotional stimuli, and using digital humans for self-care and self-management especially in chronic disease. Moreover, I’m working on human-human synchrony and association between brain activity, behavior and physiological signals in social interactions. This is my personal website.
